Notice regarding Management Support for the Douai Group
We are pleased to announce that Community Healthcare Coordination Platform, Inc. (“CHCP”), a group company of Unison Capital, Inc. (“Unison”), will provide management support to the Douai Group, a medical corporation based in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture and headed by Chairperson Tetsushi Yamazaki.
Founded in 1935, the Douai Group has been playing an essential role in community healthcare in a secondary medical area of Saitama Prefecture. Unison and CHCP will supply the Douai Group with comprehensive management support, including that for financing, operations, and human resources, and collaborate with the Douai Group to optimize the allocation of hospital bed functions and to achieve more sophisticated hospital operations.
Annual medical and long-term care expenditures in Japan now amount to about \50 trillion, and the figures are expected to grow further as the nation’s population ages. The country faces an urgent need to establish a system to provide efficient and quality services in the medical and long-term care fields.
Unison aims to create a new community care model by helping small- and medium-sized healthcare providers cooperate to build a system through which to provide medical and long-term care optimized to the needs of the local community.
To add to our ongoing efforts toward this goal, which are now focused on facilitating cooperation among pharmacies, Unison has just launched a management support program intended for small- and medium-sized hospitals. Unison will redefine the roles of small, community-based hospitals according to the local healthcare needs and assist them in coordinating medical care and long-term care and in introducing information technology.
